Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Child Support

My ex-husband is an officer in his company and is able to hide his ''true'' income. How can I prove or request from the judge verification of his actual income before going to court for lowing child support?

Re: Child Support

There are a lot of ways to prove income. You could do an audit of his tax returns and his company's returns. You could subpeona the docs given to his accountant and depose his bookkeeper.

You could subpeona all of his credit card and banking records. This is usually a good way to see if he is spending money and washing it thru the company.

A good lawyer working with a forensic Certified Public Accountant should know how to get this done.

Good Luck
