Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Child support: what to expect in court.

Currently I'm waiting for the court day where my petition for child support will be addressed.

He lives in another state, makes 50000 that is a little less then I make. But he is never around and basically in the past years I was the one who paid for everything. We ve never been to court, only a paternity was esteblished.

Now, the question is: what will I get from him?

1.17%-OK

2.half of my child care expences? (I pay in average 800$ monthly and have a prove)Is it ? Big question?

3.half of medical unreimbursed expences-OK

4.But the boy(8 year old) wants to play hockey, and by the way the doctor recommended it for his legs. It's another 100$/monthly plus transportation since I don't have a car somebody else will drive.

5.Summer camp? I just paid for the first 2 months 300$. But isn't he responsible for at least half?

I know he doesn't have a penny on his saving because he maintains a nice living(travel/lease a car/designer clothing). He can even afford an attorney that he retained.

Please, advise, any help will be appreciated.

I don't see why you will not obtain what you want

unless he has proof of poverty. You should have an attorney in court with you. Perhaps the court will order him to pay attorney fees.
