Re: Child support

There is no legal obligation to support our adult children, much less THEIR children. I hear your frustration, since the grandparents have the means to help you, but are not doing so.

You can seek enforcment and/ or modification of CS in the court. If the father is not working and is apparently being supported by the grandparents, that can be considered IMPUTED INCOME, which can be the basis of a child support award.

Re: Child support

Can you sue the grandparents for child support? No. Can you sue the father for child support based on money you believe his parents provide him? Absolutely.

I would file a petition for child support immediately. Then you should be able to obtain his tax return, and see how much money he declares.

You can file the petition for child support yourself. The people at family court can be helpful in some counties. I would suggest you retain an attorney though. In your petition, you can ask for attorneys fees, and in a matter like this, you need the help of someone who knows how to find hidden assets.
