Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Can I get child support if not legally separated? My "husband" and I went through divorce mediation and came up with an agreement on Sept. 8th. However is now not signing it as he had an attorney look at it and he wants to change some of the wording, but also wanted me to change my mind about a few things, which I disagreed on. I have not received a dime from him and need to know if he doesn't sign it, can I request child support?

Yes, through the Family Court in your county. Separation is not required.

Yes, you can still file for child support without being separated.
