Legal Question in Family Law in New York

child support

How long must a person pay child support if an age limit and college attendence was never addressed in a child support judgment. I though it was only until the child reached eighteen years of age. The child is no longer living with the custodial parent and living with a grandparent. Does it matter whether he is going to school?
