Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Child support - Medical Insurance PLUS

My husband pays 17% of his wages for child support plus provides his son with medical insurance. Can they ALSO make him pay the amount that the insurance doesn't pay? This seems to be a little bit extreme to me.
