child support modification or appeal

Judge made oral order that I pay CS according to standards, as per my offer in my order to show cause affidavit. Affidavit was made before mother was working and before both parties resided in separate apts. Considering the change in circumstances and a 14 percent decrease in salary, can I motion to modify temp CS or should I try for speedy trial as judge suggested but which is unlikely as case is custody battle and will go to trial. Or should I appeal CS order.
