Years after you've relinquished your rights,(with a copy of the relinquishment) can they come after you for child support?

Re: Getting child support after other parent relinquishment of parental rights

Sometimes people don't realize that just because a father gives up his right to his child, it does not apply that a child gives up a right to her father. The only effective way that child support can be waived is if the child is legally adopted.

Should you like to discuss this or any other legal matter, you can call my office to schedule an appointment for a consultation or in the alternative, I can be reached for on-phone low-cost legal consultation at 1-800-275-5336 x0233699.
