Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Child Support

I currently pay child support. In the summer I have the children every other week. Do I still have to pay full child support to him for the summer?

Re: Child Support

You have to comply with the Child Support Order. If you think the Order should be modified (and you have a good argument here), then you must petition the court for a modification.

Warning: The courts routinely frown on "self-help." Either do it right or forget about it.

Re: Child Support

Yes, you continue to pay the full child support UNLESS, your agreement for child support or the court order for child support states differently. You can try to have the child support modified during the summer, but it may or may not actually be modified.
