child support
Is the percent for one child 17 or 19% for support in new york? Does my ex-wifes'' attoney have the right to ask for last three years income tax returns, or just last year? Thankyou ken

Yes, the Court can order production of your tax returns for the last 3 years, for child support purposes. Also, "Basic" Child Support for one (1) child is usually at the rate of 17% of the payor's CSSA income.

The basic child support percentage for one child is 17% and it is acceptable to request income tax returns for the last 3 years.
Since you mentioned an ex-wife, have you been served with a Family Court petition for a modification of child support? If you have, you will also have to submit a financial statement to the Court. One should have been provided to you by your ex-wife's attorney when you were served. If not, the form can be obtained from the court.
