Child Support

A single mother raising a child the father does not work he lives with his mother he has an inheritance from grandmother he gives no money to support his child is there anything mother can do?

You can Petition in the Family Court for child support and the court will order child support based upon the evidence presented respecting both parties' income and assets.

If no income or assets are shown, then the court will order minimum basic child support payments. If the father is "employable," the Court can (but may not) order that he find employment.

The Court cannot order CS based upon a future anticipated income from inheritance, nor compel an income trustee or executor, to pledge money or assets for anyone, outside of the grantor's directions.
