Re: child support
The fact that she lives with her boyfriend is relevant for custody but not support. That may be difficult for your son to swallow, but that is how it is analyzed.
If the boyfriend is an 'unhealthy association' for your grandchild, then action can be taken.
The ex-wife's report of income can be examined to determine if her disclosures are accurate. If not, then the support can be changed.

Re: child support
Child support is based on the income of the parents. Your son pays a set percentage of his income to support his son. If he thinks that the child's mother is making more money than she reported to the court, he can move to modify the support order. If he feels that having the boyfriend living in the home is adversely affecting the child, he can move to modify the custody order or seek other relief from the court.
