getting child support

How do I get the suport from the other parent when he works off the books?

Take the other parent to court. In family court in New York, the hearing examiners know that often people have off the book income. They will not report the other parent to the IRS, but they will use the off-the-books income to calculate support. Be aware that you must be prepared to prove the off the books income.

You can prove the income the same way the IRS does it. Just prove his spending. Then challenge him to show where it came from.

If witiness observed him working on the job, that would help. You can also subpoena his employer.
