Legal Question in Family Law in New York

child support

The last time I was in court. With my ex about him not paying child support. I told the judge that he has handed me about 600 dollars. After the judge gave him the creidt. He told me that any money handed to me is a gift for the child. Is there anyway that i can withdraw the criedt? Also over the years my ex has worked 2 jobs on the books but he only reports the one. Is there anyway that I could get the courts to look at it and adjust the support. Because the minute he found out that the child support was more than he liked he quit the job. But a week later he was working there. What can I do legally.

Re: child support

On the subject of the credit for the money paid directly to you, you can not withdraw the credit once the support magistrate gives him credit for the money.

As for his off the books job, you need proof of his employment, witness testimony, pictures, check stubs, etc. This evidence can sway a court to accept the existance of the other job, short of that, you are out of luck.
