Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Child support for a 20 year old

My husband is trying to child support for his 20 year old son. His son is employed full time he is not a student. He still lives with his mom. The court said we still need to pay child support. What should be our next step in eliminating the support?

Suggest you file a modifiction petition for a downward modification. You cannot just stop paying unilaterally.

Until the CS Order is modified, it remains in full force and effect.
