Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Children

My wife and I are getting divorced. She wants me to sign the birth cerificate however as soon as possible I am getting a paternity test. If the baby is NOT mine does that bind me to pay child support? If the baby IS mine what is the average amount of child supprot paid in New York?

Re: Children

No. You do not have to pay support if the baby is not your child. If the child is yours, support for 1 child is approximately 17% of net income.
