Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Childrens rights in a parents home when an outsider has moved in

My paretns are currently seperated, but not legally. My mother had her boyfriend move in and we were all forced to move out of the house. He is abusive and often threatens my sisters and I. The most recent situation my older sister moved back home for a little while and he entered the house with a gun threatening to kill himself and hurt my sister and members of our family. My sister got a restraining order scared for her own life, he was forced out of the house for 2 months and then the restraining order still stands but he is allowed in the house under the conditions that he doesn't bother her. Know one feels safe and she now is forced to move out once again. We would like to know what rights we have in this house and what his exact rights are.

My father would like his part of the house to go under our name so that we can sell it either to our mother or split the selling price with her. What are the steps to this?

You have some serious problems. You, your father and sister should speak with a lawyer. Your rights may be affected by your age and prior court orders. Good luck.
