Legal Question in Family Law in New York

If my child's father is incarcerated and I put him on child support, when will he have to make payments? How will the court determine how much he is to pay? Lastly, will he be responsible for paying Medicaid for his medical insurance?

The support part of family court can determine what his income should be based upon his earning potential from prior to being incarcerated in some cases. You should consult directly with an attorney to determine the best course of action.
