Choosing

Can the parent of a 16 yr old legally prevent him from leaving home and moving in with his Grandparents?

Why would a parent try to do such thing?

To do so, surely would be like trying to hold a "tiger by the tail".

Suggest that if the youngster is emphatic about moving out, the arrangement should be clear, and formalized, especially re money, etc.. Also, Assert your position that there will NOT BE a revolving door, at your home; nor subject to the youngster's whim.
