im a US citizen. i was married in france to a french citizen. our marriage dissolved. she now obtained visa papers through her own means to live in the u.s. i would like to obtain a divorce. i am a NY resident (she will be too). can i get a divorce in NY? would it be valid in france? what are the costs of doing this? thanks beforehand

A NY divorce should be valid everywhere. You would have to meet NY residency requirements before you start the case.
