Cohabition and marriage

If you have lived with someone for over 20 years and have a child together, then get married, and after a couple of years get divorced, what is the wife entitled to? Would the time living together be counted in the divorce?

Good Day: While it is far to complex to simply say yes or no, if pressed the answer would be no the time spent togher not married would not be counted when you got divorced. There are some other factors however in dividing assets such as any financial contribution you have made. I would suggest you consult with an attorney to listen to all the facts of your case.
