Legal Question in Family Law in New York

What constitutes Harassment?

My soon to be ex-wife said she is taking me to court for harassment, because in the last few days (Sunday to Tuesday) I have sent her approximately 15 emails. She says it is disrupting her at work because the emails go to her phone and she is constantly being interrupted by her phone going off. A few of the emails contained nasty comments and insults, but the bulk of them had to do with wanting an explanation concerning an argument we had a few days ago. Can she get me on harassment?

Re: What constitutes Harassment?

Yup and not just regular harassment either you could be accused of Agg. Harassment. YOu need to get to a lawyer quickly and lose the e-mail/telephone habit. If you don't get the answer you want the first time, then that is the answer you want.

If you have a matrimonial lawyer and he handles criminal law cases then see him. If you want a real criminal defense lawyer, you can call my office at 516.741.3400 or e-mail me through the links below.

Good luck
