Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I saw a counseler 8 years ago in Arizona and my wife came with me to a few of the sessions, My records have since been destroyed however my wife somehow got a copy of them from the counseler and is trying to use them in family court. Was it legal for the counseler to give her a copy of my file and can she use it in court if the originals have been destroyed ?

That depends on their legitmacy. As for the counselor, you should reach out to the Board in that state to address the breach of confidentiality.
