Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Different county for court?

Am I allowed to change my family court case to another county a few miles away if I am unhappy with the Judge and the way my case was being handled in family court in the ocunty where I live?

Re: Different county for court?

You would have to file a motion with the current Judge asking that the matter is moved to a different county. In the motion you have to give a reason for the request. The reason "I am unhappy with the Judge" is not a valid reason for the request.
