Legal Question in Family Law in New York

im going to court for custody of my kids. i have a speed bumb in the road about 11 years ago me and my wife were at a party and smoked pot a couple weeks later i failed a drug test at work i have not touched it and learned my lesson, how do i handle this in court i know my ex will bring it up
