Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Court date

I have a child support petition in new york, but currently living in louisiana, I cannot keep flying back & forth for court dates, can I have the court conduct the proceedings via phone & faxin of paperwork instead of flying back & forth for the court dates?

It is at the discretion of the court. It is also possible (if you are the custodial parent) to have the case transferred to LA.

If you are the petitioner (the plaintiff) then you should file the petition in the state of your residence.
