Legal Question in Family Law in New York

my cousin was married in the Philippines .She wants to know if it is valid in New York? Does she need to have it annuked before she can remarry in New York?

Her marriage is valid in NY. She would have to get divorced (or have it annulled) before she could remarry in NY.
