Re: Criminal attorney doing Custody's

A law firm can represent 2 parties as long as there is no conflict between the interests of the parties. Any competent lawyer can represent a party in any kind of legal proceeding.

Should you like to discuss this or any other legal matter, you can e-mail me for more information about low cost face-to-face, on-line, or a telephone consultation with a lawyer in our office.

Re: Criminal attorney doing Custody's

The situation as described seems to be a conflict of interest situation. It is permissible for one firm to handle multiple family members ,this however seems to be a conflict and therefore not prudent. A criminal defense attorney may be equally competent to handle a custody case. I ,myself am a criminal defense attorney and I have handled custody cases in the past.
