Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I am not the custodial parent and pay 177.00 a week child support. Child is now 18 and living away from home at college of which I am paying half .It seems as if I am paying for him to live in two places. Can I get the child support reduced because of this?

It depends on the language in your support agreement (if any). However, generally, you may obtain credit on actual living expenses paid for the child.
