Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Custody jurisdiction

My first attempt was rejected as ''Unintelligible as written - Please re-word'' so I will try to make it simple.

How would I write two memos, for a petitioner and respondent, in a custody suit. Including appropriatly cited cases, statutes, rules, etc.. for New York state.

Re: Custody jurisdiction

Go to your local Courthouse Law Library to research the case law and documents you might need.

You might start with the forms, templates or boilerplate docs, to help you outline what your applications should "look like," and provide references to direct you to the case law.

The Law Librarian can be very helpful, in directing you, but cannot give legal information or advice.

Good luck,
