custody laws

me and my baby's father have not been to court to determine custody. i would like to move from new york to alabama without his consent. is this considered parental kidnapping? could i go to jail for this?

If you take the child without telling the father where you are going, it may be deemed illegal.

To just leave for Alabama you would have to receive permission from the father. If the father does not give permission, you would have to make application to the Family Court for the move.
