How do I obtain a copy online of a custody order in Family Court in Albany County, New York State? I am submitting a Petition to Modify a Custody Order and need specific information from the Custody Order to complete my Petition.

Go to the Family Court. Have the docket number. Ask the clerk for the file. Generally, the clerk's office will have a copy machine for your use. Bring change.

Family Court orders are not available online due to privacy restrictions. You need to contact the court to obtain any record in a family court case, and will only be able to obtain it if you are the plaintiff, the defendant or one of the attorneys of record.
