I want to know if you share the children half the time do you have to pay support in New York State?

A recent decision held that even though the parents split the time with the child, the "non-custodial" parent had to pay child support.

However, that said, if you can agree otherwise, in writing, you may be avoid paying child support. However, I suggest you consult with an attorney.
