Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Custody---Visitation

What other steps can be made ASAP You go to court with a witness that 2 children(8-11) are being abused by their mother?

She has been turned in to Child Welfare with no resolution. The children tell the judge of several things their mother has done including locking them in there rooms and kick one of them in the groin.

The father of the children is beside himself of what to do due to the trauma to his children. The children say they hate their mother and are forced by the court to be with her 4days and dad 3 days....

Just returned to court in the last 2 weeks. What to do???

Re: Custody---Visitation

ASk the Court to appoint a guardian ad litem for the children to oversee the time spent with their mother and father and to investigate the situation in which they reside. The guardian ad litem is an independent party whose interest would be solely the welfare of the children and if indeed your allegations are well founded will make a recommendation to the judge that the children have only restricted contact if any with their mother.
