Legal Question in Family Law in New York
My Daughter will be starting college this fall and moving out of her Mother's residence in NYC.
I would like to know if I can have my child support payments sent directly to my Daughter via a bank account in her name rather than to her Mother?

Based upon the law, the answer is no. This money is used by the custodial parent to pay for living expenses for your daughter regardless that she is in school. She will need some place to live when school is out of session as well as a other necessities that are paid for by the custodial parent using these funds.
You can try to bring a petition in Family Court to modify the child support and do what you wish but I truly believe you will be spending money to try to get the court to do something they are not going to do.
