Defamation

My daughter broke up with her boyfriend and he is posting her cell number on myspace and saying for free head call this number. She is only 15 and he is also going around school calling her a slut and tramp and other such names. How do I get him to stop and leave her alone?

I would make a copy of the myspace page and contact the school authorities.

I would copy the MySpace pages and give them to the school authorites. I also advise seeking to speak civilly to the parents and asking that they look into the issue and mellow him out, without making any threats or placing any blame.

If that fails I would also advise MySpace.com and ask that they ban the page and his IP address.

You could also contact an attorney and have him send a letter to the boy advising him to cease and desist.

Finally if the harassment continues, I would use the page to press charges of Harassment 1st degree against him and request an Order of Protection with a full stay away.
