Dismissal of a case on family court because of past history

An order was issued by Supreme Court in Nassau County for 18 months for my x husband to pay maintenance , He filed a petition to modify the order in family court. He did not show up. The case was dismissed. Can he now bring this matter before Supreme Court to have it modified?

The divorce judgment should spell out where he can bring modification petitions. If it does not then there is nothing stopping him from going to Supreme Court for a modification. I suggest you hire an attorney if he does it in Supreme Court.
