Legal Question in Family Law in New York
Divorce an absent husband
I got married in 93 and my husband left in 94. I have not seen or heard from him since. I live in NY and all I want is a divorce but we cannot locate him. Is there a way to still get divorced?

Yes you can get a divorce. You will be required by the court to do what is called Due Dilligence by hiring a private investigator and publishing in several news papers as well as several other possibilities but eventually you can get divorced. You need an attorney to help you in this.
