Legal Question in Family Law in New York

divorce advice

When my wife and I divorced last year I signed a Quitclaim Deed as part of the proceedings. Under the terms of our divorce she was given 2 years to re-mortgage our house under her name. My question is: What happens if she fails to do so in regards to the Quitclaim Deed?

Re: divorce advice

She would still own the property. The mortgage would still be under both names. As to specific relief, you would have to look toward the language in the settlement agreement.
