Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Divorce Agreement and Taxes

In my divorce agreement I must give all of my paycheck every 2 weeks to my ex-wife. $500 directly to her checking account,$50 I keep, and approx. $500 remaining I must give to my ex-wife in cash. She refuses to give me a receipt. Can I give her a check for the amount that I am supposed to give her in cash. For my own protection. I have no record. She can claim that I never give her the money, and I have no proof for taxes that I gave her any $$. What should I do? I understand that I can claim on my taxes $ that I give her to pay for her house.

I will be blunt. If you do not have proof that you made the payment (receipt, deposit ticket, or cancelled check) you will get screwed. She will claim that you have not paid her. DO NOT PAY YOUR SUPPORT OBLIGATIONS IN CASH.
