Legal Question in Family Law in New York
divorce- no contact in a decade
My wife and I split up a decade ago and have not kept in contact. Now that I would like to remarry, I wish to proceed with divorce. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to find her. Tried all the usual methods to no avail. Can we even get divorced? What do I do?
We were married in NY. I now live in Florida.

Re: divorce- no contact in a decade
In order for you to get a divorce, you will need to serve some papers on your wife. If you are not able to locate her, you may ask judge's permission to use another method to serve your wife with papers, i.e. by publication.
You can contact our firm if you need further assistance.
