Divorce Debt

My husband and I filed for divorce in 5/07. He took a loan against his 401 k for cosmetic surgery for me. Am i required to pay half of the remaining balance even if there was never a discuaaion of me paying back half?

Yes.

Even if it was a gift from him.....gifts are marital property. You are liable for half.
