I am looking for the explanation to this paragraph in a divorce notice my daughter received. ''Plaintiff will take, prior to entry of final judgment, all steps solely within his power to remove any barrier to defendant's remarriage following the divorce.''

This just means that if your marriage was religious,that you (as plaintiff) will do everything required by your religious leaders, etc. to remove the barriers to your ex remarrying. This does not apply to civil marriages.
