Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Our divorce is final except for the judge to sign the papers. I received a "Waiver of notice of settlement" from opposing counsel. He said he needs my waiver signed before he can present the court with a "Notice of Entry".

If I sign the Waiver does it nullify the notice of settlement?

He doesn't need it, but it's a routine piece of paper which does not nullify anything. If you've signed a settlement agreement and the rest of the uncontested divorce packet forms, all it does is say that you're willing to receive only one further notice, that being the notice that the case is concluded.
