My girlfriend is trying to obtain a divorce but cannot locate her husband. Can you advise what her options may be?

After reasonable efforts have been made to locate your husband, the court will likely allow for service by publication and subsequent divorce.For further info you may call my office to set up a consultation @718-834-0087.

If she has made and can document substantial reasonable effort to find him and has been unable to she may be able to get judicial permission to serve either by sending papers to his last known address or by a legal notice in a qualifying newspaper.

This is not a problem. I do this on a regular basis. One client has not seen her husband for 12 years!
The correct legal remedy is "service by publication". It is neither costly nor difficult.
