Divorce and jail

I have been physically seperated from my husband for well over a year. I have the 2 children. I have been denied child support due to the fact that he is incarcerated in the state of Florida. I want to proceed with the divorce but he will not accept any thing in jail and will contest it. I simply can't afford a lawyer( I can't even pay my rent) Help. We seperated because of abuse and addiction. Please advise.

I think you are mis-informed regarding the law. He has no option to decline service of process. Any efforts of his to fight the divorce are likely to be 100% futile.

My fee for a divorce in this situation is $500.00.
