A parent's obligation to support their child, continues, until the child's Majority (in NY age 21), Emancipation or LEGAL COURT ORDERED Adoption, by another.

Also, a child support court order continues, until/unless Vacated or Terminated by the Court.

Any Agreement or Stipulation between the parties, that proposes to change or terminate court ordered child support payments, Must be submitted, to the court, for the change or termination to be entered as a court order.
