Is there any way of getting a divorce right away if we have been married for only 6 months and have had seperate addresses with out promising the other person any kind of medical support-this person has been married 5 x including me and divorced 4x and was only interested in receiving my benefits(medical & Dental) and will not divorce me unless I pay for them for a year-I want a divorce now Is there any way of getting out of this marriage sooner then a year-maybe another country for the divorce??????

You can sue your spouse for a divorce. However, it will likely take at least 6-9 months to obtain a divorce, assuming that you can prove fault grounds for divorce in NY. If you terminate this person off of your benefits plan, a Court might order you to reinstate them pending a decision. A Court could also order your spouse to reimburse you for the cost. It depends on the facts.
