Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Divorce

I was married in the U.S.A. I was divorced by a paralegal in Canada. I want to change my name back to my maiden name however, motor vehicles will not let me unless it is stipulated on the divorce papers. On my divorce papers it is not. Do I get a paralegal in Canada or the U.S. to re-write the divorce decree.

Re: Divorce

The easiest way is to file a petition with the Court under the Civil Rights law to change your name. I can complete the paperwork for a flat fee if you desire to contact my office.
