Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Divorce, Mortgage and Bankrupcy

I was leagally separated in Nov 1997 and divorced Jan 4 1999. In Nov of 1998 I signed a quitclaim deed for the house we owned jointly to turn it over to my ex husband. He remarried and divorced in 1999 and was forced to file Chap 13 bankrupcy due to his new/former wife. He never refinanced the mortgage. His bankrupcy is now showing up on my credit report. Can I and if so, how do I get this off my credit report. (My divorce attorney has retired and moved out of state). Thank you for any help you can give me.

has eliminated negative points in the credit

rating for other clients of mine
